3rd Annual IELLEN Awards

The annual IELLEN Awards celebrates the achievements of young people, education providers, employers and community organisations across the LGAs of Stonnington, Port Phillip and Boroondara. In particular they highlight successful education, training or employment outcomes for young people.

More than 45 people attended our 3rd annual Awards event on May 3, 2016, which followed our AGM. Each year the Awards event gets bigger.

We had three major sponsors for our Awards event this year, and gratefully acknowledge the generous cash support of:

IMG Norway, a quality furniture manufacturer – and Awards sponsor for the second year running

Survey Matters, a research and strategic insights agency for the Australasian Association and membership sector, and

TaskForce Community Agency, a not for profit organisation which gives life changing opportunities for those most in need.

As there were joint winners in several categories (including a special Award) we did in fact have 14 winners, many profiled on our facebook pages.

The categories were:

  • Education/Business and/or Community Partnership of the Year
  • Community Impact Award (Group, Program/Initiative, Organisation)
  • Employer of the Year (Small)
  • Employer of the Year (Medium to Large)
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET) Student of the Year
  • School-based Apprenticeship/Traineeship (SBAT) Student of the Year
  • Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) Student of the Year
  • Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) Student of the Year
  • Outstanding (Individual) Achievement of the Year (20 years and over)
  • Outstanding (Individual) Achievement of the Year (15 to 20 years)
